Our client for the project was a local developer and builder, who had acquired a site formed from part of deep gardens of houses fronting Groby Road in Leicester.
Planning permission had previously been granted on the site for the bungalows. Through negotiation with the PLanning Officer and careful use of dormer windows and roof lights, we were able to gain consent for five, four-bedroom detached houses; thus increasing the site density.
The new houses and their detached double garages are arranged around an access courtyard, with landscaping and details to integrate into their garden settings.
