This project for East Midlands Housing Association, developed a derelict courtyard of garages located to the rear of houses, in the Headlands area of Northampton, into a group of four two-bedroom bungalows.

The bungalows were built with purpose made prefabricated timber frames, to reduce construction time, and clad with traditional facing brickwork and roof tiles. The design was carried out to the "Lifetime Homes" standard, achieving a "Very Good" eco homes rating.

The bungalows were all designed to "accessible" standards, two of which included specific layouts for wheelchair users. One of these is managed by ASPIRE, a charitable organisation specialising in the rehabilitation of people who have suffered a trauma.
