Mosaic: The Watermead Centre
Watermead Country Park, Leicester
Mosaic, (formerly Leicestershire and Rutland Guild of Disabled Persons) is a well established, charitable organisation, providing services to disabled people throughout the region, that required new facilities and Headquarters premises.
Whilst seeking a permanent site, generic proposals were produced to enable the channeling of ideas and desires for the new multi-use Centre, culminating in a circular design.
Arranged to minimise travel distances within the facility, an internal central ramp links the different levels and provides a landmark feature for the organisation.
