Francis Dixon Lodge
Leicester
Francis Dixon Lodge is a residential therapy unit, constructed during the 1920's, adjacent the Towers hospital in Leicester.
The project included a single storey extension to house a new kitchen and day rooms, and a two story wing providing ground floor offices with bedrooms at first floor level.
The general refurbishment included a new entrance, upgraded lavatory accommodation and a new lift, with re-decoration and upgraded services installations throughout.
The extensions were carefully designed using traditional materials to match the existing brickwork detailing and fenestration.
