Barrow Health Centre

Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire

With the increased population of the Barrow area, the Primary Care Trust needed to enlarge their existing Health Centre and General Practitioners facilities.

The design respects the profile of the existing single storey, mono-pitch roofed Centre and by a combination of extension and internal re-planning, provides eight new GP consulting rooms, a new treatment room and extended waiting and reception administration areas.

A crucial feature of the design was to integrate a phased development development, allowing continuous use of the Centre throughout the construction programme.
