Willows: Enhancing the Healing Environment

The Willows is a residential behavioural rehabilitation centre, with four ward wings radiating from a central core.
The project, supported by the “Kings Fund”, involved the refurbishment of the underused central hall and the adjoining neglected courtyard; providing an inviting, dynamic lounge and a landscaped sitting out area for residents and visitors.
The project evolved from close consultation with staff and residents, some of whose artwork is included in the design.
