Retail Food Store, Aylsham
Aylsham, Norfolk
This new retail food store in central Aylsham involved intensive colaboration with the Local Planning Authority in order to create a store that reflected the local vernacular of Norfolk; incorporating a form that utilises Norfolk pantile, brickwork and green oak structures.
The site had considerable falls across its length, resulting in numerous retaining structures; notably around the service yard.
There were intensive highway works involved; including widening of roads, new junction and improvements, and relocation of an existing historic flint wall.
