This new development in the rural location of East Leake in Nottinghamshire, provides office and ancillary accommodation replacing a disused and derelict barn.
Close liaison with Client and Local Authority was essential in designing a building to address the contextual need of retaining the scale and appearance of the redundant barn, whilst fulfilling the Client’s functional and financial aspirations.
The realised scheme is based on a relatively simple design, that imaginatively uses natural materials, to provide a low key but modern office development suited to its rural context.
