Damian Withers

BA (Hons) Dip Arch (Leics) RIB

Damian joined GWH as a project architect in 1995, becoming an associate partner in 1999 and a director in 2000 when the practice was incorporated.

He attained his BA (Hons) in architecture from De Montfort University in 1991 before spending the next year at GWH in Leicester. He returned to De Montfort University in 1992 and obtained his Graduate Diploma in Architecture in 1994. During that time he spent 4 months at the National University of Singapore studying climatic and regional design. Upon graduation he joined private practice in Nottingham working on educational projects whilst obtaining his RIBA part III qualifications.

Damian has been involved on a wide variety of projects whilst at GWH, ranging from retail, healthcare, community, commercial and civic, to small scale residential schemes. It is this varied work that has created such a breadth of experience in many sectors, which helps to maintain a high levels of enthusiasm and a sense of satisfaction with a job well done.

Outside the office he enjoys travel, camping and wallowing in mud at any of EnglandŐs notoriously wet music festivals. Much of his time elsewhere is either spent in the fields with his dog, or renovating a grade II listed cottage, wondering if the end is ever in sight.
