RESPIRATORY BRU ON SITE - GLENFIELD HOSPITAL

The new build Respiratory Biomedical Research (BRU) Unit is a modular facility located in the grounds of Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. Initially designed to provide two floors of facilities, the design was adapted once on site to provide a third upper floor providing a total area of 1470m2.

The BRU will focus on promoting the development of new and effective therapies for the treatment of respiratory diseases including severe asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The building contains research facilities, Immunohistology laboratory, 4 bed ward, exercise laboratory, microscope suite, offices, meeting room and associated support offices.
