ASDA PLANNING APPLICATION FOR AYLESBURY

A planning application has recently been submitted to Aylesbury Vale District Council for a new Asda foodstore on the outskirts of the town, in conjunction with Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the site forming part of the Stoke Mandeville Hospital estate.

The store design has been developed over several months, including public exhibitions and close liaison with the local authority, culminating in the final solution which includes extensive use of sustainable timber cladding.

It is hoped that following a successful planning process, the new store will be on site towards the end of 2009, opening 2010.
