Project Description

Council Offices

South Northants

Proposals for the refurbishment of South Northants Council Offices based primarily around the formation of a new main entrance lobby to provide a focal point for visitors to identify with.

The new entrance design took the form of a simple lozenge shape feature constructed in framelass glass with a simple elegant roof structure; to provide a modern contrast to the existing traditional building.

Internally, proposals took the form of reconfiguring spaces throughout to suit new council requirements, based around a central circulation hub. In addition, refurbishment proposals included extensive refurbishment of the main Council Chambers.

Works were due to commence on site when Council funding was cut, and the proposals put on hold.
